Hooey Brands Classic was Hooey
First off, the Straight No Chaser was great. Electronic music at a rodeo?? Otherwise a poor evening. It was painful!! And it was a small crowd, so there was not much problem with crowd noise, it was the amped up sound system. Started 25 minutes late, then subjected to a laser light show for ten minutes with electronic music for 10-12 minutes at full volume. My biggest complaint was the volume of the music and announcing. Then the opening pyrotechnics and fire made the whole arena stink all night long after burning kerosene P B R in the dirt. We had to leave early because of the painful noise. Did note that several dozen more patrons left early also. Again, the Straight No Chaser event was great, but all in all an unpleasant evening.
